Wake Up

I have to be at work at 6 am. Well I dont HAVE to but the overtime is screaming my name. This is the first time I've seen this video and it made it a little easier to wake up at 445am. I know it's been around for weeks but whatever, it's still funny.

Philly Brewfest 2011

My cousin and I at Philly Brewfest. I went in thinking I wouldn't drink much. That all went out of the window when they handed me my sample glass. About forty ounces later I was hammered. My favorite was a blueberry beer by shocktop. I love beer. Good beer though. There definitely some terrible brews but more great than bad.

Midweek Concert

I saw Marc Broussard Tuesday night. I hadn't seen him for about 5 years but he was just as great. He was actually playing with the Flu which is impressive because I dont want to do shit when I'm sick. It was also disgusting with being in the front row, I wasn't trying to get infected. He played some new songs which sounded promising. His new album comes out in June but was for sale at the show....in march.....and now I know how albums get leaked.

Knit Wit

I learned how to knit a couple months ago. So far I've only made hats. This is one I need to finish before Saturday. Its for my cousin Trista. She bought the yarn so I hope she likes what I've done with it.

Out Here Winning

God this makes me laugh!

My Boyz

Ryan and Adam from Guster make an appearance in the new Sara Bareilles video. She opened for them in 2004 when I saw them in London. Hard to believe she's more popular than them. Funny how the world works.

If you'd like to save time, go to the :55 second and 3:10 mark to see the guys.

What's in a Year?

It's been over a year since I've blogged. I intended on updating this thing more and I even attempted to start a post on my Ireland vacation. I never blogged, life still goes on.

What happened in the past year? Let me list a couple of things.

1. I went to Ireland. I said it before but yeah, I went with two great friends, we rented a car, drove around most of the country, stayed in BandB's, dranks some guiness and had my breath taken away from me by the landscape. I'm sure I'll post some of my pictures one day. For now just know that Ireland is as beautiful as people say.

2. Not only did I take an vacation to Ireland but I took a couple of vacations last year. I guess I was living the life. I haven't traveled that much in a LONG time. I went to New Orleans with 10 friends. A couple of us went to my friend's wedding. I went to Topsail, NC for the 4th of July and had the best 4th ever in my life. my week was full of sun, beach, healthy cooking but most of all relaxing with amazing people. I went to Newport Folk Fest. It's probably one of the best festivals in America. I also took a quick trip to Raleigh, NC to start my Textile Certification at NC State. Throw in about 5 trips to NYC, random trips to philly and DC and you had my year.

3. Saw some great concerts, one of my favorites being My Morning Jacket at Terminal 5 for their Z show. Also, I saw Muse 2x in one week, and one of my favorite bands Avett Brothers on my birthday.

4. I got a new job. I now work for a chemistry team and I do nothing with chemistry. I look at textiles most of the day along with messing with a large database. I love me some computers! I had no idea what a bartack stitch was or a 301 stitch. But now I know and I actually like my job.

I'm sure there's more to write about but I have all the time in the world to get back to that. I hope you all were good, and had a great year. I'm going to try and keep this thing rolling
